Carla Suarez Navarro has been given a clean bill of health. The Spaniard, who announced last year that she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, announced that she has finished her treatments and been given the all clear on Thursday.

“Another step forward,” the 32-year-old wrote on social media. “Today I finished my treatment and overcame Hodgkin lymphoma. Thanks to all for your warm messages. Every word of support gave me strength during the past few months. All my gratitude to healthcare professionals who take care of us every day. I'M CURED!

In December of 2020, Suarez Navarro had announced plans for a comeback that would include, potentially, the Olympics and a few more tournaments in North America. We’ll look forward to hearing more news on that developing story now that she has been given a clean bill of health.
