Teenage qualifier Elena Rybakina dumped defending-champion Pauline Parmentier from the Istanbul draw with an emphatic, 6-0, 6-4 victory. 

The 19-year-old, who stopped seventh-seeded Katerina Siniakova in her opener, advanced when Parmentier double faulted on match point.

Rybakina will face Czech veteran Barbora Strycova for a semifinal spot. Strycova edged Sorana Cirstea, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.

Empowered by clinching the decisive doubles point to lead France to its sixth Fed Cup final on Sunday, Kristina Mladenovic continued her winning ways today.

Mladenovic defeated fourth-seeded scored Dayana Yastremska, 6-3, 6-4, to reach a second-round date vs. qualifier Kateryna Kozlova.
