19-year-old Marketa Vondrousova made her Top 40 debut on Monday after reaching the final at the Istanbul Cup last week.

The Czech is the third highest-ranked teenager on the WTA Tour, behind only World No.38 Dayana Yastremska and World No.23 Bianca Andreescu.

Vondrousova has gone 19-5 on the season and reached finals at Budapest and Istanbul. She also reached back-to-back quarterfinals at Indian Wells and Miami.

Another Czech on the rise is Petra Kvitova. After her second title of 2019—and 27th overall--the two-time major champion jumps to No.2 in the world and sits just 136 points behind World No.1 Naomi Osaka. Kvitova was within a victory of the top ranking at this year’s Australian Open but fell to Osaka in a dramatic final.

The Czech became the WTA's first multiple title winner in 2019, ending an unpredecended streak that stretched through 18 events without a repeat title winner this season.

The biggest riser inside the Top 50 was Victoria Azarenka. The Belarusian jumps 11 spots to come in at 50 after reaching the semi-finals in Stuttgart. Barbora Strycova rises eight spots to No.39 after her semi-final run at Istanbul.
