A day after her rousing rally, Naomi Osaka's Stuttgart road has come to an end.
A strained abdominal has forced the world No. 1 to withdraw from the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix prior to her scheduled semifinal vs. Anett Kontaveit.

The walkover sends the eighth-seeded Estonian into tomorrow's final against either Petra Kvitova or sixth-seeded Kiki Bertens.
Kontaveit held a 5-7, 7-5, 3-0 lead over former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka in Friday night's quarterfinal when the Belarusian was forced to retire with injury.
The two-time Grand Slam champion sustained the injury roaring back from a 1-5 deficit to defeat Donna Vekic 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4), in the quarterfinals.
"I'm really sorry I'm not able to compete for the semis today," Osaka said. "I unfortunately got injured yesterday. I was waiting until today to see if I get better, but unfortunately I didn't.
"I'm really sorry for everyone that came out and I hope to see you next year and I hope to play next year."
