After reaching the doubles final alongside Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Czech star Lucie Safarova is planning to bid farewell to fans on home soil at this week’s J&T Banka Prague Open.

Safarova, a five-time major double champion and former World No.5 and Roland Garros singles finalist, won her first career doubles title with Pavlyuchenkova in 2012. On Sunday they lost a tough battle to Mona Barthel and Anna-Lena Friedsam, 2-6 6-3 10-6.

Safarova will play alongside Barbora Stefkova in Prague this week. The pair open their bid for the double stitle with a first-round match against Japanese-Russian pairing of Makoto Ninomiya and Yana Sizikova. Safarova owns seven singles titles and 15 doubles titles—she held the WTA’s No.1 double ranking for six weeks from August 2017 to October 2017.
