Maria Sharapova has played some of her grittiest tennis on the red clay of Roland Garros.

The woman who once described her movement on clay as "a cow on ice" has found her footing on the terre battue, reaching three consecutive French Open finals.

Counting down to the start of the clay-court Grand Slam on May 19, Roland Garros has released this video compilation of Sharapova's Top 5 French Open matches.

From her gripping 3-6, 6-4, 9-7 defeat of Swiss spin doctor Patty Schnyder in 1997 to her three-set triumph against Victoria Azarenka in the 2013 semifinals to her finals victories over Sara Errani and Simona Halep, Maria's best moments in Paris are here.
