Martina Navratilova has stepped down as Agnieszka Radwanska’s part-time coach, saying she had underestimated the time and effort it would take to properly get the job done.
Radwanska has struggled since joining forces with Navratilova, winning only 12 matches against 8 losses and not reaching a final in 2015. The Pole seemed to be caught between wanting to change her game and tactics and wanting to stay with what has made her an elite player and Grand Slam finalist in recent years.
The world No. 9 released a statement of her own acknowledging the split. Radwanska will continue to be coached by longtime coach Tomasz Wiktorowski.
