The draw has been made at the inaugural Istanbul Open, and Roger Federer will enjoy being the only Top 30-ranked player in his half of the draw.

Federer, who was last in action in Monte-Carlo where he was upset by Gael Monfils in the round of 16, could face either Marsel Ilhan or Jarkko Nieminen in the second round after a bye. The Swiss maestro is currently one win shy of his 200th career clay-court victory. Federer could see Daniel Gimeno-Traver or Mikhail Kukushkin in the quarterfinals and, if the seeds hold, Santiago Giraldo or Diego Schwartzman in the semis.

After a visit to the dentist, last week, Federer has already been seen working on the the practice court with Grigor Dimitrov.

In the bottom half of the draw, second-seeded Dimitrov is the only Top 20 player. He’s joined by his possible semifinal opponent, world No. 23 Pablo Cuevas.

In one of the more intriguing first-round matches, seventh-seeded Mikhail Youzhny will open with Brazil’s Thomaz Bellucci.

“I got a little bit of a tour around the area and it looks amazing,” Dimitrov said, according to ATPWorldTour.com. “To have that kind of facility and to have the opportunity to build something like that is pretty amazing.”

The stadium court at the Koza World of Sports features a retractable roof and has a capacity of 7,500, with two other clay show courts raising available seating to 9,500. Main draw action commences on Monday.
