2013's highest-paid female athletes on four continents played tennis on the WTA Tour.

In ESPN the Magazine's recently released Money Issue, the magazine reports that Serena Williams ($12.5 million), Victoria Azarenka ($6.5 million), Li Na ($4 million) and Sam Stosur ($1.2 million) each earned the highest salaries for female athletes on their respective continents (prize money only, no endorsements).

In Brazil, soccer player Marta is the highest-paid female, and in Africa, long-distance runner Priscilla Cheptoo leads the pack.
