Houstonians are proud of our city and its accomplishments. Now, we can all demonstrate that pride by helping the Zina Garrison Tennis Academy (ZGA) beat friendly competitors from nine other cities in a contest that will award $10,000 to the city program with the most Twitter votes.
The USTA Foundation and JP Morgan Chase’s #ReturnTheServe program recognizes the top ten National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) programs across the country. The ZGA is the only NJTL program in the city of Houston selected to compete for this award. ZGA supporters can vote daily on Twitter beginning Saturday, Aug. 16, help the ZGA win this prize and continue supporting local youth
Participants must have a valid Twitter account to vote. You can vote directly on the program’s website by clicking the “support” button for Houston at USTAFoundation.com/ReturnTheServe or tweet #returntheserve + #Houston on Twitter. You can vote once every 24 hours until Sept. 3. The city program with the most tweets of support by September 3 wins.
“With only a small investment of time -- a short click on your cell phone, tablet or computer -- you can invest in the life of a child,” said Linda Elliott, Executive Vice President of ZGA. Elliott encourages Houstonians to participate in this friendly city rivalry not only to show pride in their city, but to help its youth. “By doing so, you provide the ZGA kids with leadership classes, fitness classes, academic support and life skill programs,” she adds. “ZGA pays forward unlimited future opportunities for the youth of our community!”
