Hingis and Chan Fall, Ending the Stunning Career of a Legend
Martina Hingis’ stunning career has come to an end.The No.3-seeded pairing of Timea Babos and Andrea Hlavackova upset top-seeded Hingis and Chang Yung-Jan, 6-4, 7-6(5) to reach the WTA Finals title match on Saturday.Babos and Hlavackova will face Johanna Larsson and Kiki Bertens in the final. Larsson and Bertens knocked off the No.2-seeded pairing of Ekatarina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, 6-4, 6-3.Hingis announced her retirement earlier in the week. She will go out at the No.1-ranked player along with her current double partner Chan.
