Laver Cup Goes Back to Black
Star power and a black-out highlight this weekend's Laver Cup.Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych play-tested the all-black tennis court for the inaugural Laver Cup at O2 Arena in Prague today.Juan Martin del Potro withdrew from this weekend's international team competition.
So how will the court look beneath the bright lights of the arena?"We worked very hard to deliver the blackest court that's ever been delivered," managing director Steve Zacks told the media in Prague today. World captain John McEnroe has selected Frances Tiafoe to replace del Potro on his squad that includes Nick Kyrgios, Sam Querrey, Jack Sock, John Isner and Denis Shapovalov. The three-day Laver Cup begins on Friday.On Friday and Saturday, there will be a day and night session followed by a final single day session on Sunday.Each day four matches are played—three singles and a doubles.Both singles and doubles will be best of three sets with ad scoring.
