— USTA (@usta) September 9, 201713-year old Cori Gauff became the youngest girl to reach the US Open junior final since the event began in 1974 on Saturday with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Maria Lourdes Carle of Argentina. She will face 16-year-old American Amanda Anisimova in the final. If she wins, Gauff would become the third-youngest Grand Slam girls' champion, after Martina Hingis won the 1993 French Open at 12 and Jennifer Capriati won the 1989 French Open at 13 years, 3 months.Gauff and Anisimova will play the third consecutive all-American Girls Singles final at the majors, which is a first time occurrence.Whitney Osuigwe, of Bradenton, Fla., defeated Claire Liu, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., in the French Open girls' final, while Liu beat Ann Li, of Devon, Pa., in the Wimbledon girls' final.]]>Amanda Anisimova is in the US Open girls final tomorrow.
