Auger-Aliassime is Youngest to Make Top 250 Debut Since Juan Martin del Potro in 2005

After winning the Lyon Challenger, 16-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime became the youngest player to make his Top 250 debut (231) since Juan Martin del Potro in 2005. The Montreal, Canada native is the seventh youngest to have ever won an ATP Challenger title.

In that group of seven are Michael Chang, Bernard Tomic, Richard Gasquet and Rafael Nadal. Auger-Aliassime won the U.S. Open junior title last year, and despite being highly touted as a rising star, he did not decide to turn pro until winning his first futures tournament last year at Birmingham, England in November.
