Arthur Ashe Stadium is the largest Grand Slam stage in the sport.

This month, the US Open transforms to tennis’ ultimate website.

The Amazing Spider-Man lands at the US Open this month.

The USTA today announced that the US Open and Marvel are continuing their popular collaboration for a third consecutive year with a new and original Spider-Man comic book that champions the theme of the 2026 US Open.

The new comic, “Celebrating Our New York Story” chronicles Spider-Man chasing down and battling supervillain Scorpion across all five boroughs culminating in an epic US Open showdown.

It’s been 23 years since Andy Roddick won the 2003 US Open. Former world No. 1 Roddick remains the last American man to hoist a Grand Slam singles championship.

This month, a member of the media, New York photographer Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, will deliver a heroic performance at the Flushing Meadows major.

Here’s an excerpt from the USTA’s press release on the Spider-Man-US Open collaboration comic:

More than 40,000 print copies of the comic book will be given out to fans for free throughout US Open Fan Week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, with a limited-edition run of rare, collectible covers featuring one of New York City’s five boroughs given out in a surprise bag to the first 1,000 fans each day August 24-28.

The unique comic follows Spider-Man as he chases and battles supervillain Scorpion across all five boroughs en route to the US Open, visiting iconic landmarks and encountering quintessential New York experiences along the way. All 40,000-plus print copies of the book will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis for free during US Open Fan Week to those fans who scan their Fan Access Pass at the giveaway tent inside the main entrance.

Rare collectible covers featuring Spider-Man in one of the five boroughs – the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island – are limited to 1,000 copies each and will be given away at random in a blind bag to the first 1,000 fans on-site who pick up their comic book Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28.
