Home Goods: Korpatsch is First German Woman Since Graf to Win Hamburg Title

Tamara Korpatsch reclaimed title territory home style.

The 31-year-old Hamburg native thrilled hometown fans sweeping Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-3 to become the first German woman to rule the Hamburg Ladies Open in 34 years.

It is the second career title for Korpatsch, who is the first German to rule Hamburg since legendary Hall of Famer Steffi Graf collected her sixth consecutive Hamburg crown in 1992.

A focused Korpatsch broke in Bondar’s opening service game streaking out to a 4-1 lead. Korpatsch opened and closed the opening set with love holds.

In the second set, Korpatsch broke for a 3-2 lead then broke again in the final game to earn her first tournament title since the 2024 Cluj-Napoca championship. Korpatsch snapped a streak of four consecutive German losses in the Hamburg final.
