Matteo Berrettini drove Daniil Medvedev up the wall in a double-bagel beatdown today.
An irate Medvedev vented attacking the back wall in frustration while suffering the most lopsided loss of his life.
During his 6-0, 6-0 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters thrashing at the hands of Berrettini, Medvedev unleashed his angst treating his Tecnifibre stick with all the care of a pit bull tearing a chew toy to shreds.
Watch Medvedev hurl his racquet off the back wall then spike it to the red clay a few times for good measure. Medvedev ravaged his racquet with about seven spikes combined to the wall and the court as the Court Rainer III crowd erupted in response.
It was the first double-bagel defeat of the former world No. 1’s career. Medvedev managed to win just 17 points in the 49-minute annihilation. While it’s believed to be the shortest match of Medvedev’s pro career, it featured the raging Russian’s longest racquet-smashing destruction sequence in memory.
When Medvedev was done with the carnage, he tossed the battered stick into a trash can.
Ha golpeado la raqueta 8 veces para luego tirarla con delicadeza a la basura 🤷♂️

Rio quarterfinalist Berrettini beat Medvedev for the first time in four meetings.
While Medvedev made a mark on the wall, Berrettini aims to leave an impression on the singles draw.
Berrettini will play Brazilian phenom Joao Fonseca for a quarterfinal spot. Fonseca defeated Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.
