Key Withdrawals Haunt Miami Open Main Draw
A few key names pulled out of the Miami Open before the draw was revealed, thinning out the competition at the second leg of the Sunshine Double.

Six-time champion and 2025 runner-up Novak Djokovic withdrew before the main draw, citing a shoulder injury.
Emma Raducanu pulled out after the draw, due to the fact that she is still recovering from post viral symptoms she picked up in the Middle East last month. Raducanu was in action at Indian Wells, where she was eliminated by Amanda Anisimova 6-1, 6-1 in 52 minutes in the third round.
Monfils said he won’t play Miami (he could have been granted and accepted a wild card) and added that he isn’t yet sure about Monte-Carlo. The 39-year-old also said that he won’t play mixed doubles with his wife at Roland-Garros, but is thinking about doing it at the US Open.
Monfils and Stan Wawrinka didn’t take wild cards into Miami, and that may have opened the door for 17-year-old Frenchman Moïse Kouame.
