Venus Williams Comeback Continues in Austin
Venus Williams will be joining the player field at the ATX Open, which runs from February 21 to March 1.
The 45-year-old legend will take her place in a draw that also features 2026 Australian Open semifinalist Jessica Pegula, 18-year-old 2026 Australian Open quarterfinalist Iva Jovic and University of Texus alumna Peyton Stearns.
World No.549 Williams has lost her three main draw singles matches this year, in Auckland to Magda Linette in three sets, in Hobart to Tatjana Maria, and at the Australian Open where she let slip a 4-0 lead in the final set to Serbia’s Olga Danilovic.
Nevertheless the seven-time major champion is an inspiration wherever she goes.
