Effective September 21, 2026
Tennis Now (“Tennis Now”, “we”, “us”) publishes tennisnow.com, its newsletter and its social channels. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email Richard@TennisNow.com.
What we collect
Newsletter. When you subscribe to The Daily Rally we collect your email address. It is stored with Mailjet, the email service that sends the newsletter, and used only to send it to you. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Comments and messages. When you leave a comment or use the contact form we collect the name, email address and any website you enter, together with the message itself. Comments are shown publicly with the name you gave. Your email address is not published. WordPress also records the IP address a comment was sent from to help us block spam. Your profile picture, if you have one, may be looked up from the Gravatar service using a hashed version of your email address.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories readers open and how they arrive. It sets cookies (for example _ga) and records pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. If you decline analytics in the cookie notice, or use a browser with tracking protection, these cookies are not set.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and to keep the site running. They are kept for a limited period and not used to identify you.
Your cookie choice. The choice you make in the cookie notice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run behavioural advertising networks on the site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16; if you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Embedded content and partners
Some pages embed content from other services: YouTube videos (Tennis Now TV), the TNNS Live scores widget, Google Maps on the contact page and posts from X and Instagram. Those services may set their own cookies and collect data as if you had visited them directly, under their own privacy policies.
Tennis Now partners with Tennis Express, our preferred retailer. Links to tennisexpress.com carry a tag that tells Tennis Express the visit came from Tennis Now, and we may earn from purchases made through those links. Tennis Express’s handling of your data on its site is governed by its own policy.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them for three things: to remember your cookie choice, to remember your name and email if you have commented before (a WordPress convenience you can decline by clearing the box under the comment form), and, with your consent where the law requires it, for Google Analytics. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site still works without them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland have these rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, together with the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority. California residents have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of them, email Richard@TennisNow.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for asking.
How long we keep information
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments and their metadata stay with the story they were posted on, so that follow-up comments make sense, unless you ask us to remove them. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need them to reply.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the newsletter list and to the WordPress dashboard is limited to Tennis Now staff with individual logins. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be mentioned in the newsletter.
