The all-time Grand Slam singles title leader, joined by the Serbian men’s national basketball team, who were celebrating their recent silver medal at the FIBA World Cup, was met with rapturous applause from legions of fans.

In the now famous square between Belgrade City Hall and the House of the National Assemly, Djokovic was driven to tears by emotion before he addressed the crowd.Djokovic headed from Belgrade to Valencia on Wednesday to take part in Davis Cup action for Team Serbia.
