The World No.4 has injured her right hand and will miss significant time."Unfortunately I hurt my right hand in practice yesterday and I won't be able to play in Adelaide, Sydney and Australian Open this year," she said in a statement. Some days are worse than others. Unfortunately I will be out for a while and will not compete at my favorite tournaments in Australia 😔 But time and believe can heal everything.

Bohužel i takové dny někdy jsou. Na chvíli bez tenisu a bez Austrálie, ale čas a vůle vše spraví ♥️💪 pic.twitter.com/Eqe5v8P5tV
Pliskova’s streak of 35 consecutive Grand Slam main draw appearances will come to an end. It was tied for fourth-longest among active WTA players. The 29-year-old had not missed a main draw at a Slam since the 2012 US Open. ]]>
