Andy Murray Takes Wild Card into Next Week’s Paris Masters
By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Thursday October 28, 2021Andy Murray told reporters on Wednesday in Vienna that he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to play in Paris, because he hadn’t been told if he had been granted a wild card.Now we know.Murray joins Frenchmen Richard Gasquet, Arthur Rinderknech and Pierre-Hugues Herbert as one of the four main draw wild cards into next week’s Rolex Paris Masters.

The Scot will carry a winning streak into Paris – he won the event in 2016 on his last appearance, defeating John Isner in the final for what was then his 19th consecutive victory. Murray owns a 21-9 lifetime record in Bercy.He hopes to pick up some much-needed ranking points and momentum as the 2021 season winds down. Murray earned his first Top-10 victory of the year this week in Vienna but fell to Carlos Alcaraz in the second round to fall to 13-12 on the season. The Scot has yet to reach an ATP-level semifinal in 2021. ]]>
