ATP Rankings Report: Rublev, Schwartzman Top 10, Sinner Top 50
By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Monday October 12, 2020Thanks to breakthrough performances at Roland Garros, Diego Schwartzman, Andrey Rublev and Jannik Sinner have achieved rankings milestones in Monday’s ATP rankings.Schwartzman, who defeated Dominic Thiem to reach his first Grand Slam semifinal last week in Paris, rises to No.8 in Monday’s ATP rankings, while Rublev, who parlayed his first main draw victory at Roland Garros into a quarterfinal appearance, rises to No.10.

Sinner, still 19, became the first men’s singles player to reach the quarterfinals on his Roland Garros debut since Rafael Nadal in 2005. The Italian rises up to No.46 in Monday’s rankings.

Some other big risers off the back of stellar Roland Garros performances were Germany’s Daniel Altmaier, who rose 64 spots to 122 thanks to his round of 16 performance. Colombia’s Daniel Elahi Galan rose 25 spots to 128 due to a third-round performance, and America’s Sebastian Korda climbed 82 spots to 131 as a result of his round of 16 appearance in Paris.Hugo Gaston of France also jumped 82 spots, to 157, thanks to his round of 16 run as a wild card.Italy’s Lorenzo Giustino jumped 17 spots to 140 and Austria’s Juri Rodionov jumped 22 spots to 148.At the top of the rankings, Stefanos Tsitsipas climbed back into the Top 5 thanks to his semifinal appearance at Roland Garros. ]]>
