Racquet abuse has seldom been so lucrative.The Wilson Blade racquet Serena Williams famously smashed in frustration during her 2018 US Open final loss to Naomi Osaka sold at auction for $20,910, Goldin Auctions announced.Watch: Serena's Golden AgeWilliams tomahawked the racquet to the court leaving a mangled mess after dropping serve during the second set of her 6-2, 6-4 loss to Osaka.Afterward, Williams gave the busted racquet to ball boy Justin Arrington-Holmes, who told the New York Times he sold it to a Manhattan sports memorabilia dealer for $500 earlier this year.“Looking back I wish I’d had someone help me with the process,” Holmes told the New York Times. “I was not familiar with how any of this works. I just wanted to get rid of it.”
