Murray Receives Shanghai Wild Card
Andy Murray will continue his singles comeback in Asia.The former world No. 1 has accepted a wild card into next month's Rolex Shanghai Masters.More: Osaka Splits With CoachTournament organizers announced Murray's wild card on Twitter.
The three-time Shanghai champion raised the title trophy three years ago."I'm really looking forward to be going back to Shanghai, a tournament I have had success at in the past," Murray said. "Thanks to the tournament for a wildcard, it's great to be able to continue my comeback and play more tennis in China. Shanghai is a great city—I feel comfortable there and the fans are always supportive."The 32-year-old Murray underwent hip resurfacing surgery after the Australian Open in January.Murray will launch his Asian swing later this month playing the 250-level Zhuhai Tennis Championships, which also has commitments from Stefanos Tsitsipas, Gael Monfils, Roberto Bautista Agut and Nick Kyrgios.Look who is coming to the Rolex Shanghai Masters.
