Khachanov and Davydenko Forge a Bond, but No Official Partnership Yet
Karen Khachanov and Nikolay Davydenko have begun working together, and while the arrangement isn’t official, it will continue at least for this week at the Coupe Rogers in Montreal. The pair worked together for 10 days in Moscow before heading to the Citi Open in D.C.“He was bored in Moscow,” Khachanov joked. “He asked me to come.”Khachanov, who lost in three set to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in his first match at the Citi Open, says that Davydenko will come with him to Montreal and beyond that there is no plan—yet.“I don’t want to make any official announcement yet,” Khachanov told Stephanie Myles of Tennis.Life. “Let’s see, hopefully he can join the team.”
