Badosa Back to Training After “Small” Procedure

Paula Badosa caused concern for fans sharing photos of her appearing to be in a hospital bed yesterday.

Today, former world No. 2 Badosa said she underwent a “small procedure” and is already back training.

“I had to undergo a small procedure that I’d been putting off for quite sometime,” Badosa posted on Instagram Stories today. “And I needed to take a short break to recover properly.”

While the 2021 Indian Wells champion did not detail the procedure, she said she’s already training again.

“I’m happy to say I’m back training now and really looking forward to competing again,” Badosa posted.

In her last US Open appearance, Badosa reached the 2024 quarterfinals bowing to Emma Navarro.
