"He’s the future of American tennis," Rettenmaier told the crowd afterward. "I’d be smart to pair with him for the next 10 years. He could put some serious money in my pockets."

Before the match Brian Earley, director of USTA Pro Circuits and the U.S. Open Referee, gave Top Seed President and tournament promoter Steve McAvoy and tournament director Jeff Richards a plaque commemorating 10 years of Pro Circuit tennis.

"Ten years of tournaments on the Pro Circuit is a significant milestone and I’m happy to be here to help celebrate it," said Earley. "You guys do a great job and it’s a great accomplishment."
