As a qualifier, Goffin is into the quarterfinals at Winston-Salem, where he’ll face Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz on Thursday.
“Of course after 25 matches you have a lot of confidence, you don’t think you’re going to lose, but I play every match like it’s the first one in the tournament, like it’s the first one of the season and I give everything,” Goffin said, according to ATPworldtour.com. “And with my confidence I keep winning, so I’m very happy.”
Goffin reeled off 36 consecutive sets to start the streak, and has won 50 of 53 sets in total.
