(August 4, 2011) Robin Haase of the Netherlands defeated second-seeded Feliciano Lopez and sixth-seeded Andreas Seppi at the Bet-At-Home Cup in Kitzbuhel, Austria, on Thursday to advance to his first career ATP Tour semifinal.

In the first match of the day on center court, Haase, ranked No. 53, finished his match against Lopez. Play was suspended yesterday with the match level at 1-6, 6-4, 1-1. Haase went on to win the third set 6-3.

The match started poorly for Haase. He won only 10 points on his own serve and he was broken three times.

He recovered well in the second set, as he won 72 percent of his service points and never faced a break point. Meanwhile, Lopez lost four points on his serve in the set, but he was still broken once.

The Dutchman continued to play effectively in the third set in his service games, despite having a 44 percent first-serve percentage.

He lost only two points on his serve in the set, and he managed to break Lopez twice.

Later in the day, Haase defeated the 48th-ranked Seppi 6-4, 6-2. There were 11 breaks of serve in the match, with the Dutchman claiming seven of them.

Haase will face 110th-ranked Joao Souza of Brazil, who beat Spain's Pablo Andujar 6-3, 6-4.

Earlier in the day, Souza defeated 97th-ranked Diego Junqueira of Argentina 6-2, 6-2.

In the top half of the draw, Albert Montanes, ranked No. 50, ousted fifth-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4, 7-5, and then dismissed Santiago Giraldo 6-1, 7-6 (0).

Finally, top-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela beat Marcel Granollers 6-3, 6-4.
