Roger Federer surprised his fans with not one but two impromptu Twitter chats during some time off at this week's Shanghai Rolex Masters.

Roger Federer continued to show off his sense of humor on Twitter this week as he prepares to compete at the Shanghai Rolex Masters. After the former No. 1 joined Twitter and took part in a Reddit AMA chat before Roland Garros this year, Federer has been relatively quiet on social media. But that all changed Tuesday as Federer started an "Ask RF" chat and allowed his nearly 1 million followers a chance to ask him anything.

Here's some of the best questions and replies from the Swiss Maestro, who started the chat just after a practice session with this photo quip that included an Allen Iverson reference:

On his twins and their future in tennis.

Like most parents, Federer's kids have interrupted his normal T.V. viewing habits.

When asked to describe his fans, Federer came up with one word.

Federer signed off, but then came back a few hours later looking for more.

His game may be elegant to watch. But Federer's handwriting? Not so much.

Things got personal on the subject of, of all things, Roger's feet.

Even some players got involved looking for a shout out.

This desperate fan got a surprise response from Federer.

The all-important "what animal would you be" question.

Perhaps the best tweet of the whole day generated this very responsible reply.

Finally, a fan's question about a fellow player got a response from his "locker room neighbor."

Soon it was time for Federer to wrap things up and get dinner.

Don't be surprised if Federer pops up on Twitter for yet another #AskRF session. He will play Italy's Andreas Seppi in his opening round match tomorrow.
