(May 20, 2010) Maria Sharapova will carry a golden glint on court in the couture capital of France.
Sharapova will sparkle at next week's French Open thanks to the Tiffany earrings she will wear at the clay-court Grand Slam.
Tiffany announced today Sharapova will wear earrings from the Tiffany Elsa Peretti mesh collection inspired by mesh jewelry and purses that were in vogue from 1900 through the 1920s. Crafted of 18 karat gold in an ultra-fine pattern of inter-linked rings and accented with cultured freshwater pearls, the earrings capture both the elegant simplicity of Elsa Peretti's jewelry and Maria's natural style.
"Elsa Peretti's jewelry is a joy to wear," Sharapova said. "Her mesh earrings have great length and movement, yet they're very lightweight. It will be a pleasure to wear them on the court."
The French Open begins on Sunday.
The partnership between Maria and Tiffany & Co. covers the four Grand Slam events: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
