Enqvist Takes Rio Grand Champions Title

(December 20, 2012) -- Sweden's
Thomas Enqvist
won the 2012 Grand Champions Rio, beating
Fabrice Santoro
6-3, 4-6, 10-7 on the fourth and final day of the
Grand Champions Rio
, an ATP Champions Event held at the Copacabana Palace.
Enqvist was undefeated throught the event, dropping only one set -- in the final against Santoro.

Marcos Daniel
took third by beating
Mats Wilander
Before the awards ceremony, event organizer Dácio Campos announced that the event would return to the Copacabana Palace in 2013 and 2014.
