Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are seeded No. 1 and 2 at this year's U.S. Open, while Andy Murray comes in at No. 8.

Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will be the top two seeds at this year’s US Open, and Andy Murray, thanks to Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal, comes in at 8th.

That’s good news for Murray, who is now guaranteed that he won’t play any higher seeds until the quarterfinals, and also good for other top eight seeds, who will avoid the dangerous Scot until at least the last eight at New York.
The US Open uses the current ATP rankings to determine its seeding. The U.S. Open main draw will be revealed on Thursday August, 21.
