Argentina's Carlos Berlocq concluded one of his best weeks ever on tour by winning his second career ATP title at the Portugal Open in Oeiras.

He did so by beating two top 10 players. Canada's Milos Raonic earlier in the week and then Tomas Berdych in a roller coaster final on Sunday.

Early on though it looked like Berdych might coast to an easy victory himself. Facing little resistance, Berdych captured the opening set 6-0.

The 31-year-old Berlocq rallied in the second set and got on even terms for 3-all. Though Berlocq would go up a break, Berdych would counter and get back on serve. But just when Berdych seemed poised to close out the match in straight sets, things quickly changed.

Berlocq broke again to seize the set 7-5 and force a final set.

As Berlocq continued to pin his opponent at the baseline, Berdych's confidence seemed to drop. Already down an early break, Berdych tossed in a double fault and handed Berlocq a double break 3-0 lead. A big backhand from Berlocq would give him another break of serve for 5-0.

Though Berdych would manage to get one of the breaks back, it wasn't enough. Though Berdych saved one match point, he soon faced another. Berlocq tossed in a perfect drop shot that Berdych tried to chase down but only could send into the net.

With that, Berlocq collapsed onto the court and celebrated the 0-6, 7-5, 6-1 win.

Having only won four matches all year before heading into this week, Berlocq now can savor his second career ATP title. His first came in Bastad back in 2013.
