(March 12, 2011) In a stellar match for his career, young American hopeful Donald Young took out Australian Open finalist Andy Murray. Currently ranked World no. 143, Donald performed at his best tennis in front of screaming American fans. I was sitting in the main stadium and could hear the roars of people from Stadium 2 at the BNP Paribas Open. Advice to self, "Do not overlook any match!" DYPlaya/ donaldyoungjr, Young's twitter name won in two sets 7-6(4), 6-3.

It was his first top ten win and quite frankly Young's highest moment on the tour since he took the no. 1 ranking for juniors. The "Best Win of My Career," however, Young said until Murray's last point, "There was never a point when thought, yeah, I got this."

Murray hung his head as he came into the press conference understandably after his first round loss, after receiving a bye, but Young's second win. Donald Young beat Potito Starace in his first round 2-6, 6-3, 6-3. Young went pro at age 15.

Young has been hyped up for years by the USTA and people have said he has not lived up to his potential at age 21. He admitted that it has been tough combating the pressure, "A little slower than what I wanted" and in fact described his last three years on the tour as, "Not great."

He said he was called a, "Bust at 17... totally writing you off," but that, "it was humbling to lose."

He faces World no. 28 Tommy Robredo next for the third round.

Goal: " I want to make it into the top 50."

Will he achieve his goal and get passed Robredo? Only time will tell and confidence.
