Tallon Griekspoor’s best season as a professional has taken him to a career-high ranking of No.34 this week. Now he’s bidding for his second title of 2023.

Griekspoor edged Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori, 6-4, 7-5, to set a final with Australia’s Jordan Thompson at ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Griekspoor is aiming to follow in the footsteps of Dutchman Tim Van Rijthoven, who defeated Daniil Medvedev for the title in 2022, as the tournament’s next home champion.

Thompson, who defeated compatriot Rinky Hijikata, 7-6(5), 6-3, will try to go one step further at the site of his only previous ATP final. He lost to Adrian Mannarino in the 2019 final at ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
