World No. 112 (95 doubles) Anna Kalinskaya has revealed that she tested positive for Covid-19 three weeks ago.
The Russian, who is based in Miami, said she suffered a loss of her sense of smell, headaches and fatigue, but has since tested negative twice and is back on the practice court.
Kalinskaya is believed to be the first WTA player to test positive for the virus. Already on the men’s side World No.1 Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, Viktor Troicki, Frances Tiafoe, Thiago Seyboth-Wild and others, including coaches Goran Ivanisevic and Franco Davin have tested positive.
