Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Each day at Tennis Now we’ll give you a fresh set—since it’s raining right now in Miami we’ll give you some numbers to chew on as we wait for Ash Barty and Anett Kontaveit to resume their semifinal.

13

The number of teenagers that have reached the quarter-finals or better at the Miami Open since the tournament began in 1985. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov are the last two to achieve the feat. Of the previous 11, five are currently in the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and the other six might well be headed there too…

18

At 18 years of age, Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime is the youngest semifinalist in Miami Open history. He’s also one of six teenagers that have reached the semis at the event. The other five are pretty darn good.

1

The No.1 ranking is up for grabs on the WTA side and Simona Halep could reclaim the top spot with a win in the semi-finals. Halep defeated Wang Qiang 6-4 7-5 on Wednesday and will face Karolina Pliskova in the semis. If successful, Halep would begin her 65th week at No.1.

5-0

The career record of Felix Auger-Aliassime against the ATP’s Top 20. He’ll bid to make it 6-0 on Friday when he meets John Isner in the semis.

2000

Felix Auger-Aliassime will become the first player born in the 2000s to claim a Top 50 ranking when the new rankings are released on Monday. The Canadian is also the first wildcard to reach the quarter-finals at the Miami Open since 2007 (Canas).

9

Ash Barty is guaranteed to rank at least No.9 in the WTA rankings next week and the Aussie will be the first woman from her country to rank in the Top 10 since Sam Stosur in June of 2013.

2

Number of Canadian teens that have reached the quarter-finals (at least) on the ATP side of the Miami Open. It marks the first time that two teenagers have reached the last eight of the same Masters event since 2007 when Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray did so at Miami. Djokovic won the title after beating Murray in the semi-finals.
