Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Each day at Tennis Now we’ll give you a fresh set—without any further ado, here’s what is happening on the Monday before Wimbledon.

1

Rafael Nadal climbs back atop the ATP rankings today as a result of Roger Federer’s loss to Borna Coric at Halle yesterday.

25-7

The lifetime winning percentage of Petra Kvitova in WTA finals. The Czech won her fifth title of the year, and 25th overall on Sunday in Birmingham. Kvitova is just a few percentage points from matching GOAT Serena Williams—and that is clear proof of how dominant the Czech is on big stages.

2-7

Borna Coric’s record on grass prior to last week at Halle. The Croatian stormed to the title, defeating Alexander Zverev and Roger Federer for his second career title and first on grass. Remarkable.

25

Number of career losses that Roger Federer has suffered on grass. The Swiss had a 20-match win streak snapped in the Halle final by Borna Coric. The streak pales in comparison to Federer’s streak of 65 straight wins on grass during 2003-2008.

Federer’s 172 total wins on grass (87.3 winning percentage), leave him two shy of the all-time ATP record for wins on grass. Jimmy Connors has 174 (83.7 winning percentage).

37

Kvitova also took over the WTA lead in victories with 37, which brings her two clear of Simona Halep for the 2018 lead.
