A glance inside the numbers of the 2016 World Tour Finals, including rankings scenarios, milestones and a few slices of ATP Finals history... Stats Courtesy of ATP Media...

8 The season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals is headlined by eight players from as many countries. This is the first time since the 1974 Masters in Melbourne the year-end championship features eight players from eight different countries.

1,2,3 Federer, Djokovic and Murray are 1, 2 and 3 all-time in terms of indoor record.

1 This will be the third time in the past four years the year-end No. 1 player will be determined in London. Here are your in-depth scenarios:

18-1 Djokovic is 8-1 in opening round matches and has won eight in a row since losing in 2007 debut (l. to Ferrer). He is 18-1 over the past four years, losing only to Federer in last year’s second round robin match.

5 Novak Djokovic is an ATP Finals rock star. Can he keep it up this year in London despite struggles heading in?

Djokovic is attempting to join Roger Federer as the only players to win the season finale six times in tournament history. According to ATP Media notes, last year Djokovic became the first player to win four year-end titles in a row. Djokovic is 5-0 in finals, earning titles in 2008 (d. Davydenko), 2012 (d. Federer), 2013 (d. Nadal), 2014 (W/O vs. Federer) and last year (d. Federer). He is one of four players to win the tournament at least five times, joining Federer (6), Pete Sampras (5) and Ivan Lendl (5).

4 The No. 1 player has reached the final of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals the past four years, with Djokovic winning the title in 2012 and 2014-15 and Rafael Nadal finishing runner-up in 2013.

22 Murray is three matches shy of his career-best winning streak (22), which he achieved earlier this season.

18 Thiem is the only player with less than 50 indoor wins

5 Only 5 players have won the ATP Finals on their debut, and nobody since 1998:

1998 - Alex Corretja (d. Moya)
1978 - John McEnroe (d. Ashe)
1974 - Guillermo Vilas (d. Nastase)
1971 - Ilie Nastase (round robin)
1970 - Stan Smith (round robin) +

30 Gael Monfils, at 30 years and two months, is only the sixth player to make his ATP Finals debut over the age of 30, and the first since 1972 (Gimeno).
