Angelique Kerber moved to within a win of her fifth title of 2015 and qualification for the WTA Finals at Singapore with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory over Sam Stosur in Hong Kong.

Kerber improved to 3-3 lifetime vs. Stosur and avenged a loss to the Australian in Madrid earlier this season.
The German saved seven of eight break points and broke Stosur five times to march to victory in 71 minutes.
Kerber can lock up her third trip to the WTA Finals with a win on Sunday vs. Jelena Jankovic in the final.
"I'm not thinking too much about needing one more win tomorrow, though,” Kerber told WTATennis.com. “It's going to be another day and another match, and I'm just going to try and play some good tennis and win the final here."
Jankovic foiled the hopes of 35-year-old Venus Williams with a 6-4, 7-5 victory in the day’s second semifinal.
Jankovic improved to 7-6 lifetime vs. Williams after rallying from 3-0 down in the second set and finally putting the American away when she served out the match on her second try.
Williams needed a trip to the final to move into the Top-8 in the Road to Singapore standings, and as a result of the loss she can only reach Singapore as an alternate.
Jankovic improves to 40-18 with the victory and will bid for her 15th title on Sunday, and second this autumn (Guangzhou). Kerber will bid for her eighth career title and fifth of 2015. She owns a 4-1 lifetime edge over Jankovic
