Slazenger balls

It's grass court season, which means it's time to break out the Slazengers and start counting down to Wimbledon. We do just that in our Tweets of the week.

A smattering of tweets from first week of the grass-court season, plus a few leftovers from Roland Garros

1. Well-played, Andy, but your celebration was premature. Fred challenged that last ball and it was ruled out. He went on to win in five.

2. Rarely does a week go by that Maria Sharapova isn’t found on the cover of a fashion magazine. And rightfully so, in our humble opinion.

3. In other words: JUST. BUY. MY. FREAKING. BOOK!

4. No wonder why the shorts are sold out with most major retailers—Stan has them all!

5. Museum worthy? But if he had lost to Tsonga in the semis, they’d be considered rags. Funny what a big win or two can do for the way one’s wardrobe is perceived.

6. Happy, happy, grass, grass!

7. Of course, Sabine loves it, too!

8. Should we laugh or cry? We’re laughing! Nice one, Amer!

9. 17? That’s exciting! Sure beats 10. Don’t want it to get here too fast.

10. Because sometimes you just have to tell your racquet who is boss!

11. (Because this one goes to 11) Fantastic customer service by the ATP! Response rate = 5 out of 5.
