Angelique Kerber showed both fast hands and a magic touch defeating Karolina Pliskova, 6-3 5-7, 6-4, to win the Stanford title on Sunday. Kerber raised her finals record to 4-0 this season, winning four Premier-Level titles on three different surfaces—all while conjuring doves from her racquet.
Contesting her 84th career tournament, Sloane Stephens was all smiles after capturing her first career title in Washington, D.C. without dropping a set.
