Proceeds from the event benefit pre-school educational programs in Djokovic's native Serbia. Novak and wife Jelena are the co-founders and co-directors of the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
The world No. 1, who has previously held the dinner gala in New York City and London, drew the support of stars from the tennis world and fashion world for the black-tie event.
The gala precedes Italian Fashion Week. It will be followed by the two days of tennis exhibition matches scheduled to feature Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Flavia Pennetta.
Serena Williams cut a striking figure at the gala.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion spent some time hanging out with designer Giorgi Armani.

Flavia Pennetta married long-time fiance Fabio Fognini in Italy earlier this summer. The couple, who are good friends with Djokovic and his wife Jelena, looked glamorous in matching Armani apparel.
