The pair worked together on a trial basis in Moscow last month.
The 27-year-old Konta reached the Kremlin Cup semifinals, falling to eventual-champion Daria Kasatkina, 6-4, 6-3.
Zavialoff is an experienced coach who previously worked with Stan Wawrinka and Timea Bacsinszky.
Konta split with American coach Michael Joyce, who previously coached Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka, following a disappointing 2018 season.
The former world No. 4 finished 26-23 as her ranking dropped to No. 39.
