Bouchard on Alternate Career

If she hadn't picked up a racquet, Genie Bouchard would have pursued her other passion: geekdom.

The 2014 Wimbledon finalist tells Faces Magazine if she hadn't become a tennis pro, she probably would have become a math nerd.

"[Math] star might be exaggerated but I loved school, and I love reading as well," Bouchard told Faces Magazine in a new Q & A out today. "If I didn’t play tennis I think I would have become quite the nerd."

When the 24-year-old Canadian leaves the pro circuit someday, she already has a potential career path as a circus performer.

"I can juggle. Maybe a career option once I’m done with tennis?" Bouchard said.

The former world No. 5 also dished on her favorite recovery food: pizza dipped in soy sauce.

"I always eat protein and carbs after I play," Bouchard said. "I’m a salt person so pizza and soy sauce is a dream combination for me. When I posted about it I was so surprised at the huge reaction it got! People thought I was crazy for doing that."
