Second Serve

Roger Federer is a flawless athlete that never puts a foot wrong in his quest for tennis immortality. It’s true, it really is. Well….

On Sunday as the ATP World Tour Finals kicked off in London we were given a glimpse of Federer’s more, er, generous side.

Watch as the Swiss misses the easiest put-away in the business, netting a forehand to hand Jack Sock a service hold. Was something distracting Roger? Seems so.

No matter, Federer served out the opening set and now leads Sock one set to love in London (6-4).

"I mean, I did it more for fun," Sock said of his rear-view target offer. "Probably do it three times a year. No, it's not a normal tactic."

In doubles action earlier on Sunday, American Ryan Harrison and New Zealand’s Michael Venus defeated second-seeded Henri Kontinen and John Peers, 6-4, 7-6(8).
