The Czech, who was injured in a knife attack last December, was seen on the practice courts on Friday, and is scheduled to give a press conference later in the day.
Top-seeded Angelique Kerber opens with a tricky encounter with Russia’s Ekaterina Makarova, while second-seeded Karolina Pliskova opens with Zhang Saisai of China.
